How does it work?

We operate similiar to a book library, however instead of borrowing books, members borrow toys. Each member family can borrow 8 items at a time, including 4 toys and 4 games and/or puzzles. Toys are loaned for a period of 3 weeks.

How much does it cost?

Members pay a low annual fee that enables them to borrow toys throughout the ensuing year (from actual date of joining). There are no weekly hire fees. Borrowing entitlements vary according to the membership type. Fees are as follows:

 2025 Membership Prices

Conditions
The loan period is for three weeks. Items may, however, be exchanged earlier. If an item is damaged/lost whist out on loan the member is responsible for its repair/fine/replacement cost. Failure to pay these costs may result in the member's suspension. All members, except non-voluntary and corporate members, are required to do roster duties (usually one per school term) and participate in an annual busy bee or fundraising activity.

Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

Committee for 2025

BLAIRE, President

Blaire

Blaire joined the toy library in 2023 when her youngest was 9 months old. They loved that they could borrow all the toys and not have to find somewhere to store them once her two grew bored with them. Late into the year she put her hand up for a committee position, and somehow got talked into being secretary. The next year, she's found herself being President, but is happy to be there! Her son loves borrowing any construction toys or anything to do with donsosaurs while her daughter loves the dress ups and anything to do with dolls!

Vice President

LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER TO FILL THE POSTITION.... could this be you?!

CARMEN, Secretary

Carmen

Carmen joined the toy library in 2022 while pregnant with her second son, she used the toy library to introduce her eldest son to new toys that would hopefully keep him busy when she went on maternity. Since then they have enjoyed toys like the variety of ride ons, construction and dress ups. The Lovery and puppets have been a favourite with her youngest. Board games are now their favourite as they can play as a family and create special memories, bond as a family and beat eachother in Squence or strategically play Ticket To Ride.

In 2025 Carmen joined the committee as Secretary.

LAURA, Treasurer

Laura

Laura joined the toy library in October 2024 and was excited to join the committee, first as Secretary and then moving to Treasurer in 2025. Before joinging the toy library Laura was a self proclaimed "i'm not sure how much we'll use the toy library" person but she was quickly hooked and her daughter absolutely loves getting to go in and choose her toys. Laura and her daughters favourite toys are the role plays, especially the pizza cart and BBQ, water tables and all the ride ons.

If you ever have a spreedsheet question Laura is your gal to help you out!

MARSHA, Memberships Officer & Roster Coordinator

Marsha

Marsha joined the toy library in mid 2021 and by the end of the year, she had her hand up to join the committee! Her and the kids love everything about the TL - the huge range of toys, the committee and the community. A big bonus is the amount of money they've saved and continue saving by borrowing toys. Her kids favourite toys are role play, dress ups, ride on and the party packs :) You'll hear from Marsha when you join up, if you have any queries or when it's time for roster duties. We love Marsha's enthusiasm and help with all things toy library!

CAITLIN, Grants Officer

 Caitlin

Caitlin, husband James and son Milo have been loving the toy library since joining in 2023. In 2024 Caitlin joined the committee and has been successfully applying for grant to grow our toy library. Their favourite toys are the soft play for getting through the rainy days indoors.

Fun Fact **Caitlin was lucky enough to use the Mundaring Toy Library when she was little!

LINDA, Toy Officer

Linda

Linda joined the toy library in April 2022 and started on the committee in November the same year. She loves being part of the toy library because it's a lovely community and being able to rotate high quality toys often without the cost. Linda has 2 kids, who love to playwith the Hape Fire Station, Connetix and the Up and Down Rollercoaster. The kids love to come along to the toy library and picl something new every time. Together with Simone, Linda works hard behind the scene organising our toy collection, doing everything from reparing toys with missing parts or broken pieces to ordering new toys and cataloging them for you to borrow.

SIMONE, Toy officer

Simone

Joining the Toy library in 2024 Simone was quick to assist with busy bees and help with extra shifts. In 2024 Simone joined the committee as the second toy officer for a way to increase her volunteer hours while on maternity leave after having her boys. Simone loves working with a great bunch of people who are efficient and capable and benefiting the community.

MADELEINE, Community Promotions Officer

Maddie

Maddie joined our toy library in July 2022 and volunteered herself for our committee in 2023. She loves that her kids can experience and play with all different toys and activities. The kids love coming to the Toy Library and choosing what toys they want to play with for the next few weeks. Her kids favourite toys are anything to do with wheels: bikes, trucks and trains, they also love the toy kitchens. As our Community Promotions Officer, Maddie helps spread the word about the toy library to the community, contributes ideas during meetings and helps the toy library operate through volunteering extra time to running borrowing sessions, events and day to day library tasks.

CATHERINE, Social Media Officer

Catherine

Catherine joined the toy liobrary in 2023 after President Blaire raved about how great it was. We quickly saw the huge advanteages of using the toy library. I was trying my best to do a weekly toy rotation for my 1 and 4 year old and the toy library made this so much easier to do. It gives my kids a chance to play with so many amazing and high quality toys and then when they get bored of them I can swap them for somthing new instead of having to find more staorge in my house. The party packs are also so useful for creating unforgettable birthday parties. I joined the committee as the social media officer in July as I loved sharing photos of my kids using these great toys and it just made sense to share them with the toy library community.
